Ha Ha
Kinnell can: crawl, clap, stand holding onto something, take steps while you hold him up, pull himself up on his knees, mimic sounds, say uh-oh, put food (and anything else he finds) in his mouth, and make his brother, dad and I all laugh.
His latest trick is fake laughing. He loves to laugh–he and his brother can really set each other off in laughing fits. Things that make him laugh hysterically for real:
- cat on the stairs, walking by, or just doing whatever
- crawling away from mommy and daddy, while we call, “where are you going!”
- Trying to crawl after Raimi and keep up
- Raimi moving the hood of his stroller back and forth saying “day! night! day! night!”
- sitting on daddy’s shoulders
- lying with his head dangling backwards, upside down
- seeing daddy or brother walk into the room
- thinking it might be time to nurse
- being tickled, just about anywhere
But he’s such a ham, when he’s done laughing for real he will keep going “ha ha ha ha ha” with his mouth wide open, sometimes to the point where he looks maybe worried that no one will ever notice, until you do notice, and start laughing, and then he starts laughing again for real. I know we post less often about Kinnell, and some day he will probably think that’s a sign that we love him less or gave him less attention. But the truth is, it is such a joy every day and we’re just enjoying it and not trying so hard to document every moment. I’m not as worried that I’m going to do something horribly wrong, and I don’t scruitnize him to make sure he’s reaching every milestone. I’m just enjoying this time with my two dudes.
How did we get so lucky to have such great guys?
