At the Vet Med Open House
Kevin took the boys to the Veterinary Medicine Open House last weekend. He came back with two stories:
Raimi was very interested in a display and information about blood transfusions in dogs. There were bags of simulated donated blood, and a few dogs who had donated blood to help other dogs were there with the person presenting the information. He asked a lot of questions like, does it hurt to give blood? Why are there different colors (it had to do with how different blood products would be processed and used)? He told her he had blood taken before and asked, was it like that?
A little later, there was a pen full of puppies from an animal rescue organization, and Kinnell just sat right down and planted himself there for awhile so he could talk to all the puppies.
