First Day of School
November 8th, 2010An amazing thing happened this fall, which is that Kinnell started Junior Kindergarten! I got some great pictures, but the originals were lost in a laptop crash and so I only have small versions of the images. But here are some moments we captured with both boys starting school this year.
They started on different days. Raimi wanted us to come with him to his second grade classroom, where he found old friends from last year and a teacher who was very happy to see him.
Kinnell’s first day was a couple days later. We all walked together.
Kinnell’s first full day was kind of rough – he fell asleep during rest time and woke up crying, unable to stop. We’d had a very special year being home together, and Jr. K is a long day away from home. But then on Friday night this week, he told me he was sad that he wouldn’t have school the next day. With a surprised look on his face, he said, “I love school now, Mommy!”
